Kano state Government slash 50% tuition fees of it’s own tertiary institutions.
Kano state government of Nigeria under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has on Monday 28 August,2023 announced the reduction of of 50% tuition fees of it’s own tertiary institutions.
This was disclosed to public via Governor Yusuf verified Twitter account. The Governor said “ Earlier today, I had a meeting with heads of Kano state tertiary institutions where I directed them to slash 50% of the tuition fees paid by students” This change will start effect from the new academic session of each of them according to their academic calendar.
Recall that, Kano state government has vowed settle the tuition fees of it’s 7,000 indigenes studying at Bayero university, Kano. This was part of the government effort to revitalize education in the state.
