My NAGS Confession

As I reflect on the recently concluded NAGS elections at Northwest University, Kano, I am filled with an immense sense of gratitude and appreciation for the unwavering support and unrelenting efforts of my loyal supporters, who tirelessly campaigned and voted for me throughout the electoral process.

My decision to contest for a position in the National Association of Geography Students was borne out of an unshakeable passion for the advancement of geographical education and the betterment of our academic community. I envisioned a NAGS that would not only serve as a formidable platform for intellectual discourse and exchange of ideas but also as a catalyst for positive change and transformative growth.

Although the outcome of the elections did not favor my candidacy, I am comforted by the knowledge that my message resonated with numerous students, who shared my vision for a more vibrant and inclusive NAGS. I am proud of the clean and issue-based campaign that we ran, which focused on the substantive issues that matter most to geography students.

As I extend my warmest congratulations to the successful candidates, I wish them all the best in their future endeavors and implore them to remain committed to the values of excellence, integrity, and service that our association embodies. I have no doubt that they will work tirelessly to address the pressing concerns of our members and propel NAGS to even greater heights.

Once again, I express my deepest gratitude to my supporters, whose selflessness, dedication, and enthusiasm inspired me throughout this journey. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and I am honored to have had the privilege of being your candidate.

Thank you, and may NAGS continue to thrive!"
